Geonames ontology in OWL - GSWB

Via Danny Ayers' blog, I found this discussion of the
Geonames ontology in OWL - GSWB
, which is described in full at Geonames. What is nice about this is both that geographic localities get URIs that resolve to RDF (e.g., http://ws.geonames.org/rdf?geonameId=3020251), but also there is an ontology specifying the relationships amongst geographical features. Perhaps another good opportunity for biodiversity informatics to reuse, rather than reinvent.
